The Africa Yoga Project (AYP) was founded by Paige Elenson. AYP uses the transformative power of yoga to empower communities and change lives. By inspiring the global yoga community into active service, AYP delivers effective and innovative programs that foster peace, improve physical, emotion and mental well-being, facilitate self-sufficiency and create opportunities to learn and contribute across the communities of East Africa.
For the last four years, I have had the privilege of mentoring one of the Africa Yoga Project local yoga teachers in Kenya. It is inspiring to hear what Leah is doing in her community. Check out the Africa Yoga Project website and be prepared to be inspired!
What inspires you? I invite you to ask yourself that question and then step into your own personal power and be of service in your local or global community. We can’t wait to hear about it. Send us an email and Info@epicyogacenter.com and tell us all of the details!
Unity – Possibility – Non-violence
Epic Yoga is committed to serving our service members through Joined Forces Yoga and Yoga Across America.
Joined Forces Yoga, was founded by Connie Simmons, one of our EPIC Teachers. She saw the possibility of sharing Baptiste yoga with members of the 101st Airborne and Special Forces. You can donate and find out more about Joined Forces Yoga at www.facebook.com/joinedforcesyoga
Yoga Across America is committed to bringing yoga to schools and service personnel across the USA.
“Yoga gave me faith that my body has more power than I believed it had.It gives me freedom to believe in myself,” states Tim Taylor, Army Specialist and Wounded Warrior, Afghanistan.
Soldiers are experiencing healing, inspiration and possibility through practicing yoga with YAA. They tell us they enjoy the practice and would like more yoga in their lives. Epic Yoga is thrilled to partner with YAA to help bring this practice to servicemen and women.
